The Stroke Development squad is for swimmers that have completed all levels in Learn to Swim and wish to continue their swimming. Swimmers can enjoy a fun environment whilst improving their technique and fitness. There are opportunities to compete if desired. Ongoing times are recorded to encourage improvement. Stroke Development sessions are 1.5hrs and run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6pm- 7.30pm. Ideally all swimmers should attend a minimum of two sessions per week.
Silver Squad
The Development squad caters for advanced swimmers who are interested in either improving their fitness or swimming at a competitive level. Swimmers in the Development squad train for one and a half hours per session, which includes dry land training. Members are dedicated to training in order to achieve highly refined stroke technique, fitness and stress relief. Ongoing times are recorded to observe improvements through training and preparation for competition. Development swimmers train 2 to 4 sessions per week. Swimmers are allocated lanes according to their ability.
Gold Squad
The State squad is advanced swimmers who train for one and a half hours per session, which includes dry land training. Members are dedicated to training in order to achieve highly refined stroke technique, fitness and stress relief. Ongoing times are recorded to observe improvements through training and preparation for competition. State swimmers train 3 to 6 sessions per week. Swimmers are allocated lanes according to their ability.
